So, I’m leaving to Paris in 24 days! I’m so excited, that I want to make some yummy crêpes. I’m feeling a little French inspired! This recipe is super easy and fun to make, oh and wait, it doesn’t take long to prep either. What a delicious treat! I made this yummy homemade crêpes followed with homemade whipped cinnamon cream. Made everything from scratch, no more of that can whip cream EVER!
Most of these ingredients can be found in your pantry and fridge.
1. 1 cup of all-purpose flower
2. two eggs
3. 1 cup of milk
4. 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
5. 1/4 teaspoon salt
6. 2 teaspoon for butter (melted) (Optional, unsalted butter)
Total Prep Time: 5 minutes
Place pan on a medium high heat and lightly oil the pan with butter. Grab batter bowl and gradually pour or scoop batter onto griddle, about 2 teaspoon per crêpe. Once poured, rotate the pan to spread the batter. Cook first side for 2 minutes, flip, and let the other side cook for only 30 seconds.
Whipped “Cinnamon” Cream
Ingredients: The fun part
1. 1 cup of heavy whipped cream ( I used organic, Trader Joe’s)
2. 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar (confectioners works too)
3. 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
4. 1 cup of LOVE
*Note-Normally this recipe has vanilla abstract but I substituted it with cinnamon ( Whipped Cream works with just the heavy cream and sugar!) You can be as creative has you want when you make your own whipped cream….Go crazy!
In a large bowl, whip cream until it begins to take form. Beat in cinnamon and sugar until peaks form.
*Make sure not to over-beat, cream may become lumpy and butter-like.
Finally, just grab your crêpe, add strawberries, berries, bananas, anything you want. I usually like to fill in my crêpes with fruits inside and add whipped cream inside and add more on top to finish it all up.
