Welcome Fall

My friend Jenny and I found this really cute spot about a year ago, and ever since we have been coming here. I have been to so many cafe’s but this place is one for the books. Don’t believe me? I suggest you trying it out for yourself.   Fall is probably my favorite season of all time! Everyone is cheerful, waiting for the holidays to kick in. My true obession is staying home, cuddling and watching my favorite movies. The best part of it all, is going to my near by cafe, sitting down and relaxing with good company.  One of my favorite cafe’s in L.A  has to be Nesmon Cafe on Ventura Blvd. It has a French feel and it is super cute. I’ve currently visited Paris, and everything about this place reminds me of dinning outside and people watching in beautiful Paris. If you are ever on the Blvd, you should definitely check this place out!  My all time favorite drink is the Chai Tea Latte! So yummy

Paris

My trip to Paris was probably the best experience yet this year! Let me just tell you, I’ve always dreamt of going to Paris and the very moment I landed, well let’s just say I couldn’t help but get teary eyed. Here’s my journey  Paris is nothing like I’ve ever seen before, so much culture and great traditions.  The Parisians are very active its crazy; let me just say they walk everywhere. Matt(my boyfriend of three years) and I were very surprised on how much we walked while being there. We took the metro all around Paris and had no problem getting use to their system. The awesome thing about Paris was, the sun doesn’t go down until 9:30 PM. Our days felt very long, which was good since we could stay out longer.  The arrival My good friend Jules and his lovely girlfriend let us crush at their beautiful flat during our trip to Paris. His flat was only 30 minutes away from the city, it was perfect and convenient. He greeted us with a French “Apéritif” which consisted of cheese, wine, crackers, olives, bread, followed by a …

Scones

Scones are such a yummy treat! I love going to Starbucks and having heir blueberry scones. I didn’t know how simple they were to make BUT it turns out they are super easy. So, I decided to make my own version and guess what, my family enjoyed it. Heres what you need. Ingredients: 1. Two cups of flour  2. 1/3 of sugar 3. 1 tsp baking power 4. 1/4 tsp baking soda 5. 1 stick cold butter 6. 1/4 cup of milk (your favorite milk can work too) 7. Dash of salt 8. Cinnamon For the glaze: Egg to brown the scones When making scones you are mostly using your hands to mix in the butter into the flour and the rest of the ingredients. Mix it in until it becomes dough like. Use a spoon to help place scones onto a baking sheet. Approx. baking time is 20-25 minutes, and you’ll know when they are finished. They will fill up the room with their yumminess. After you are all done, what I did was pour pure honey on these bad boys! Gives them that extra sweetness.  …

Popsicles

Watermelon and blueberry Popsicle I’ve been craving Popsicle for a while now, so I decided to make some for my family. There’s nothing better to help keep cool during summer than Popsicle. There’s a variety of flavors you can use, and for mine I used watermelon and blueberries. Ingredients: Watermelon with blueberries 1. 2 1/2 cups seeded diced watermelon2. Placed four blueberries at the bottom of the tray.3. Two teaspoons of sugar (you can put as much sugar as you want, but I didn’t want to overflow it with sugar) 4. Blend all ingredients together and poor into tray. I let the Popsicle sit over night and had them later on in the afternoon. Very refreshing.  Ingredients: Blueberry Popsicle 1. 2 cups of blueberries  2. Two teaspoons of sugar 3: three to four tablespoons of organic plain yogurt (any yogurt would work) 4. Blend all ingredients together. You can add as many blueberries and yogurt as you want. Again, I didn’t want to add too much sugar! I’m sure you can …

Paleo Banana Pancakes

Sticking to a diet plan can sometimes be very challenging, but it doesn’t mean you have to cut down on some of your favorite foods. I was craving some pancakes a few weeks ago, and thought I should find a healthy way to make them I simply looked up some Paleo receipts and found this Banana Pancakes one that I really enjoyed. I was surprised how it held its texture and form, considering that it didn’t have all the ingredients a normal pancake would have The receipt is simple: 1. 2 large ripe bananas  2.  4 eggs 3. 1/4 teaspoon baking power (optional) Cooking time: Cook until they begin to bubble and hold their shape! Flip pancake and let it cook for 30-45 seconds on each side Added ingredients: Raspberry marmalade, cocoa power and cinnamon and to top it off added pure honey. SIMPLE AS THAT! Now keep in mind, this is not your average pancake! It will taste a lot different, but it does satisfy that graving.               …
